Black Peaks - Bar Fortytwo, Worthing - 21st October 2018 Black Peaks – Bar Fortytwo, Worthing – 21st October 2018 Coming just the day after 700,000 people marched through the streets of London in hope of a Peoples’ Vote, it was impeccable timing that saw Black Peaks wrap up their tour in Worthing. All That Divides, their second release, sprang to life when the band found themselves abroad at the time of the Referendum. Perfectly capturing the confusion, shock and unsettling state that many felt at the time, it is a huge beast of a record and a strong contender for rock album of the year.
  • Black Peaks – All That Divides

Black Peaks - All That Divides Black Peaks – All That Divides This is an album I’ve been looking forward to but with some trepidation. Their debut album, Statues, is one of my favourite albums of recent years and it’s always hard to follow up such a stellar debut. In keeping with the album title, All That Divides,on first listen my opinion was divided. Yes, it’s 100% a Black Peaks album but it seemed to not quite have the intensity I loved from the first record.
  • Black Peaks return with new single and album

Black Peaks return with new single and album Brighton four-piece Black Peaks make their return with the album All That Divides, which is set for release on 5th October. The new single ‘Home’ can be heard below. Frontman Will Gardner says this about the track, "We were writing the song against the backdrop of a lot of uncertainty with regards to personal and political identity. We were out on tour in mainland Europe in mid-2016, during a period where we as British citizens felt like decisions being made on behalf of our ‘Home’ did not represent us. There is an uneasy feeling of severance that happens when you are not physically at home during a time of transformation. Our feelings of disconnection and division from our country and its people, coupled with...
  • Black Peaks release new single

Black Peaks release new single Brighton four-piece Black Peaks have released their new single 'Can't Sleep', via their new label Rise Records. It's their first new material in nearly two years, and follows on from their debut album, Statues. 'Can't Sleep' is the first fruits from their eagerly awaited new album, and features new bassist, Dave Larkin, who joined the band just before recording commenced with producer Adrian Bushby (Foo Fighters, Muse, Dashboard Confessional, Everything Everything).
  • Black Peaks - Interview - 2016

Black Peaks - Interview - 2016 Black Peaks - Interview - 2016 Brighton does noise well. Sometimes, this can be an under-appreciated fact. Back in the day it was assumed that every band were like The Kooks, and wore tight skinny jeans, or were a little artful like British Sea Power. Nothing wrong with those two, of course, but bands like Royal Blood and Architects have truly blown this notion that we lack some serious musical balls, out of the water. Truth be told, we're very lucky. We've got everything down here; from the fragile acoustica of Passenger to the titanic blasts of Black Peaks, as well as similar like-minded souls Physics House Band and Toska. It's what makes this town so fucking great; it's musical diversity, all within a stone's throw of each other. Black Peaks...

  • The Great Escape - 2015

The Great Escape - 2015 The Great Escape - 2015 Jeff Hemmings Well, that was something else, wasn't it? As a colleague from local radio station Juice FM put it: 'That was the best three days! I didn't want it to stop!' I'll wager that a great many others, both industry people and punters, shared that sentiment when they staggered out of the last venue, bar, or hostelry, for the last time.
